Partners

A landlord who already knows the file.

You need a house that will take the referral, pass inspection, and keep the lease clean. We are that landlord. We are not the program. We are not the clinic.

For agencies

  • Housing First. No treatment mandate in the lease
  • Separate lease per resident. Pro-rata HAP when the PHA allows shared housing
  • Written Fair Housing screen. No diagnosis fields
  • We cannot issue vouchers or enroll HUD-VASH / SSVF
  • Inquiry is not a unit hold. A hold happens in writing, if at all

Questions

For agencies.

Do you practice Housing First?

Yes. We enforce the lease. We do not require therapy as a condition of tenancy.

Do you take Coordinated Entry housing referrals?

Yes. We accept Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry referrals, along with HUD-VASH and SSVF referrals.

Do you require therapy or a diagnosis?

No. Therapy is never a condition of tenancy. Referral is not a diagnosis requirement. We do not use diagnosis-specific set-asides. The form has no diagnosis fields.

Is an inquiry a unit hold?

No. Inquiry is not a unit hold. A hold happens in writing, if at all. Request an MOU conversation. That is not a promise a signed MOU will follow.

Do you operate adult residential facilities?

No. We are a landlord. We are not a licensed Community Care facility. An adult residential facility may refer someone who is ready for their own lease. That is a referral, not a transfer of the license.

Do you provide supportive living services?

No. Supportive living stays with the regional center and its vendors. We take the lease. They keep the services.

How do we start?

Request an MOU conversation at info@beneficialhouses.com. An inquiry is not a contract.
